We thought it was a photo from the Japanese metro. Trying to fit as many in before the doors closed. As regards the Italians not queuing, try buying a train ticket. The staff there are experts in keeping their customers waiting in line.

Interesting “Guide to What Italians Do Best”… everything? LOL! Just kidding.
Well, pizza and coffee, about it I am 100% sure
The authors do not sound very Italian, I’m curios to see what’s in the book. For example, in Italy 17 is considered an unlucky number, but now everywhere.
I need more time to enjoy your old entries, will be back soon! Ciao!

The best Pizza I ever had was in a small restaurant at Franz Josef in New Zealand. As regards Italian Pizza, I am sorry but I do not rate them very highly.

Interesting about pizzas. Some Italian pizzas are really really good, others not. We are experimenting with different places in Turin but are still searching for the perfect pizza. I also used to enjoy Pizza Hut and Ask Pizza in London. I know of Italians who thought the pizzas there were ok too.
As for coffee, well it’s hard to beat the Italians - although I do like Starbucks (not the prices though).

I would be interesting to read what a couple of non-Italians write about what they THINK Italians do best! Please let me know your “verdict” after you’ve read it! Best pizza I’ve ever had was in Naples, Pompeii, actually. I’ve never had a really good pizza outside Italy. Everything seem to be precooked, frozen and then reheated. Good Italian restaurants in the UK don’t usually offer pizza!!! I like Starbucks cappuccino too, although as you said it’s rather expensive (but big, very big, anyway). Ciao. A.

I have just remembered where I had my best pizza - Naples. I think it was Da Michele but not 100% sure. All I had was a margherita - the restaurant claimed they invented it for Queen Margherita. I had to wait ages for it to arrive but it was worth the wait. Squisito! (the wall was covered with photos of famous people that had eaten there).
Maybe in the future I will compile a list of what Italians do best - from their point of view and that of foreigners. What do you think? It could be interesting.

What do Italians do best? Showing off! That is why they invented the passeggiata. But I must admit they look very nice.
