Mangialonga: 4k Enogastronomic Walk
Written by admin on 30 August, 2010 – 10:53 pm -
Mangialonga is a 4km walk through the beautiful vineyards of La Morra and the Langhe in Piedmont, North West Italy. En-route are 6 pit-stops to refuel with wine and Piemontese gastronomic delights. With 2000 participants this event took place on Sunday 30 August. Highly recommended, it is one of my finest experiences since moving to Italy five years ago. Eat (and drink) your hearts out!

What’s On
Written by admin on 9 October, 2009 – 8:35 am -
I have decided to add a calendar page to the site. Currently it only contains Italian national holidays. However, I am going to expand it to include dates of interest: exhibitions, literary and cultural events, shows, meetings etc. Suggestions are always welcome.
This could also be a useful tool for the cappuccinoexperience community as a whole. If anyone has an event of interest that they would like to be included then please let me know. It can be shared here, for everyone to see.

Coffee & Culture. Exploring Italy’s First Capital.
Written by admin on 30 June, 2009 – 8:59 pm -
A couple of weeks ago my aunt and uncle came to Turin (Piedmont). It was their first time here and they had no idea what to expect. They were pleasantly surprised by the baroque architecture of many of the palazzi and the overall elegance of the city. Combining culture, coffee and ice cream: that was our goal. You’re invited to retrace our footsteps on this short tour. Enjoy with us the delights of Italy’s first capital.

Take a Lucca
Written by admin on 7 January, 2009 – 6:34 pm -
Please take a ‘lucca’ at a new addition to the website. It is entitled Experience and will include photos and information on towns and regions I have personally visited in the Bel Paese. It is intended to give a real feel to a place as opposed to that of a guidebook.
For each entry I am currently working on a PDF document which can be downloaded, printed and taken with you if you visit.
The first Experience in a hopefully long list is Lucca in Tuscany which I visited over the New Year. At the moment there are only a few photos online but more will follow soon so keep checking.
It would be nice to hear other experiences of this delightful città. Please fee free to leave a comment if you have ever visited.
